About Whitney!

Whitney Hobbs is a 24 year old, passionate professional golfer. Born and raised in Puyallup, Washington, Whitney has been able to strive after her dreams which changed much as a young girl. Before ever picking up golf, she was dedicated to basketball and dance, both of which she started when she was a little one, the age of three! Yet, as time came and went she gave up dance after dancing for 13 years so that she could play on more basketball teams. At the age of fifteen, Whitney decided she needed another sport to fulfill PE credit, after her mom coaxed her into going to an interest meeting about the team and try outs; yet Whitney was not sold on the idea and decided she was not going to try out.The high school coach at Emerald Ridge High School then called Whitney on the day of try outs and said, "Get your physical. Try outs are at 3:00pm, Be there." He would not take no for an answer. Whitney made the team because the coach went out on a limb for her, and has ever since. Whitney had college offers and ended up playing for three years at Biola University and a semester at Pacific Lutheran University, watching her game grow and evolve. Now here she is, working hard and doing everything she can to make a name for herself on mini tours as well as get a chance to play on the LPGA, where her true goal lies.

Whitney Hobbs has an athletic history but it does not stop there. Whitney is a caring, loving, determined young lady who is the youngest of her family. Whitney considers her family her closest friends and enjoys time with them. Whitney also believes that smiling and laughing is the only way to go through life, because there are not enough hours in the day to be anything else. Outside of professional golf, Whitney has the deepest fire and love for junior golf programs and believes that they are the key to the future of golf. Eventually, she plans on creating her own scholarship program as well as junior golf program.

P.S. She is a DIE HARD Seahawks fan :)
